More New Pics

This week has been great, as we've gotten to spend lots of time with both Arash's and my family.  Ava has so excited all week, with spending the 4th holiday at Lakeway splashing with Brad and all my other relatives and then coming home and getting to spend afternoons with Alborz and seeing Nava and Nousha after their return from Iran.  Htere are some new pics of Ava, alone and with some of her cousins and other relatives :)

Ava is a Big Girl

Steph took some cute pics of Ava where she really is looking like a big girl. Ava never wants her hair put back, but for some reason will only let Stephanie play with it. I love these new pics and wanted to share them with everyone!

4th of July Fun

All of the family went to Lakeway for the 4th and had a wonderful time! It will probably the last trip Arash, Ava, and I will take as a family of three. Arash and Ava spent most of the days on the pool and on the slide- they love the water and swim almost every day at home! I was pretty lazy and sipped Shirley Temples under the cabana. It was great to spend a weekend with the family and there is just something about Austin that relaxes you. Definitely can't wait to visit there again :)

More Summer Fun

Ava and Brad have tons of fun on Brad's slide. I love the pic of Brad helping Ava down the slide- what a little gentleman!

Summer Splash Fun with Cousin Brad

Ava LOVES her cousin Brad.  For awhile, it seemed like Brad wasn't enjoying her attention and might have felt smothered with all her hugs, but now they are best buds.  They get so excited when they see each other and start screaming with happiness at the sight of each other. They love playing together in the water during the hot summer.  Coming soon are new pics from our July 4th trip.

Max, Max, Max

Ava's latest obsession is "Where the Wild Things Are" by Maurice Sendak.  She is captivated by Max's naughty deeds and all of the wild things he encounters in the book. She thinks Max is a "bad boy" and always tells him "no, no, no." We started reading this book a week or so ago, and now read it numerous times a day and always before bedtime.

About Us

Arash and I met in Houston, TX at Hungry's Cafe and Bistro. After years of friendship and dating, we were married in August of 2004. Exactly 2 years later, we welcomed Ava Merie and life has been busy, but rewarding. Now, after another 2 years, we are expecting another little girl. We decided to create a blog to keep all of our family and friends updated with new pics and updates.
